Hi Ranjan.

Perhaps you won’t remember me. I was a student of yours at UNB in your media language class. You once informed me I was a genius and insisted I was one of your best students of all time. I feel like you don’t give out that kind of praise often and at the time, I was both flattered and inspired, especially as a first year student who, aside from interest in the rather vague concept of media, was largely unsure of my direction. Truthfully, the foundation you provided me has consistently served me in my creative pursuits. I graduated from UNB with my BA in Media Arts and Cultures and maintained a 3.8 GPA, but one thing always bothered e deeply. You wrote me an excellent reference letter, one that I will never ever be able to have replicated. I still have a copy of it in my email, but being some what lackidasical, I entirely forgot to have the letter authorized. Seriously, it haunts me to this day. I am attempting to really push my career forward and as a result, am reaching out to you in this rather archaic form in order to have some hope that you may respond. I am not sure what you can even do at this point, but regardless, I feel the need to make the attempt. You undoubtedly had the most profound experience on me in almost my entire learning experience. No matter what, your impact will always serve me effectively. I hope you are aware of this.

I’ll be looking forward to your response if you do see this. Hopefully we can communicate further.

Sincerely,

Ryan Kennedy
